After the wedding -- Newport News, Williamsburg, Yorktown

Williamsburg -- Thomas Jefferson
He spoke for 30 minutes and responded to questions for 15.
 It was excellent

Wednesday we bought a combined ticket for Jamestown/Yorktown and spent the day in Jamestown. For some reason I didn't take any pictures.
That evening we met the newlyweds and the Fahringers for a fun dinner at the Hibachi Kyoto.

Thursday in Yorktown we learned our combination ticket covered only the Victory Museum.  There was another area, plus the town and beach, plus a loop drive  - a lot to see and do.  At the end of the day, we felt we really had an understanding of the battle that took place there.

Heading home -- started out from Williamsburg south to Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel,
then north to Lewes, Delaware to catch the Cape May ferry

Why are they still loading cars at 3:00 PM
when departure was 2:45?

Power outage in Lewes - can't raise the loading ramp.
Bringing in a generator.

Working on it

Success!

Just 30 minutes behind schedule.

The drive home seemed easy and pleasant, since we avoided the Washington/Baltimore traffic -- it was worth starting out in the wrong direction.  All in all, it was a delightful week.
