In a letter from Rev. Edward F. McSweeney, Archivist Diocese of Pittsburgh, 125 North Craig St., Pittsburgh, Pa., 15213 to Beth Winter dted April 23, 1992 we learn:

There is a Mrs. J.T.Cleland, Danville, Ill whose father (died in 1916) was a brother of Dennis.

From his will made out Nov 10, 1893 when he was pastor at St. Matthew church, Tyrone, Blair County, Pa he speaks of his mother, Mary Gallagher as still living.
